What should you pay attention to in research documentation?
Before trusting the documentation, it's worth verifying a few key elements.
Laboratory Accreditation
Were the tests performed in an accredited laboratory with a PCA accreditation number?
Clear reference to the standard
Does the report clearly indicate a specific standard (e.g., PN-V-87000:2011) and its points, rather than just a general description of the tests?
Clear results
Are the results clear and without exceptions, such as misses, conditional shots, or deviations from the procedure?
Sample traceability
Are the samples uniquely labeled and traceable to a specific production batch (e.g., lot number or serial number)?
Document type
Is this a research report, not just a certificate or information about the tests being conducted?
Number of samples tested
Have the standard's requirements for the number of samples been met? For example, standard PN-V-87000 provides for testing 8 randomly selected samples from a batch of 300 pieces, rather than a single specimen.
Range of environmental conditions
Do the tests cover various operating conditions (positive temperatures, negative temperatures, humidity), and not just laboratory conditions (~20°C)?
